Over the last few years Innisfail and its surrounding areas have been hit by two of the most powerful cyclones in history, many people were affected and it has been a long road to recovery for some and many businesses in town have struggled.  In recent years a lot of negative rumours have floated around about many businesses in town.  When we first moved into our new premises in 2008 it was quite common for us to hear a rumour every few weeks about how IBS was closing down, the receivers were coming in etc etc.  IBS was never close to closing down.

While the last few years have had its ups and downs, we’ve perservered.

In our workshop we continued to be innovative and that has garnered us work, be it fitting out a packing shed or refurbishing a sugar locomotive.  Our reputation for quality work has grown and this has resulted in fabrication work for Cardross Mining’s new mine site at Mt Ruby.

The Mt Ruby project is a high grade Magnetite processing operation located part way between Mt Garnett and Ravenshoe in Far North Queensland.  Once completed, the plant will operate semi continuously to crush, screen and magnetically separate high grade, fine crushed DSO Magnetite at an annual production rate of up to 500,000 tonnes per annum.

We also have a number of other projects in the pipeline.  Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates!

Out the front in Sales we’ve just recently launched our “Partnership Rewards Program”.  The PRP is a collaboration between IBS Engineering and a number of our major customers that passes on savings to the employees of our customers.  In the next few months we’ll be ramping up the PRP with exclusive monthly specials, competitions, and an invite to join our footy tipping contest.  If you’re interested in our PRP program contact our Sales Manager Glenn Charge via e-mail or phone on 0427 154 682.

With all this going on, IBS Engineering Supplies is very much, #OPENFORBUSINESS
